Dheera has taught children to ride horses, delight in stories and be fearless with words. Despite having battled dyslexia all her life, she is an educator and the author of 13 books, some of which she has illustrated herself. Dheera’s writings, which include educational books, focus on making learning fun and effortless, keeping the hesitant child as the prime focus. Dheera was a teacher, principal at a nursery school and then the vice principal at a women’s polytechnic, in Mumbai.
